Zarinah El-Amin is a Detroit-born cultural anthropologist, author, and founder of The Legacy Storykeepers. A proud Howard University and Western Michigan University graduate, Zarinah has spent over two decades exploring how culture, spirituality, and storytelling shape our lives.
Her work bridges the worlds of academia, art, and ancestry — helping people capture their life stories, preserve the wisdom of their elders, and connect more deeply to the world we live in. Whether through her Life Story Academy, her publishing house Book Power Publishing, or her global women’s travel collective Enliven Your Soul, Zarinah invites people to explore both the inner and outer landscapes of their lives.
Her mission is simple: to ensure our stories—and the cultures they carry—are never lost.
