Dr. Naajiah Muhammad

Herbalist • Doctor of Holistic Health • Naturopathic Practitioner Dr. Naajiah Muhammad is a seasoned herbalist, a doctor of holistic health, and a naturopathic practitioner whose work reflects more than four decades of dedicated study, practice, and community service. She was first introduced to natural healing as a child through her grandmother from the reservation and her older sister, whose use of herbs and traditional remedies left a lasting impression. These early influences were not only sentimental but meaningful.

Bro. Thaddeus & Sis. Baheejah Shakoor

A Legacy of Faith, Family, and Community Service
Baheejah Shakoor was born in 1941 in Dixon Mills, Alabama, and later moved to Detroit with her family. From an early age, she embraced faith and service, joining the Nation of Islam and graduating from Detroit public schools. Her journey of purpose led her to New York, where she attended the Harlem School of Nursing. During her time there, she met Malcolm X and his wife, Betty Shabazz — and it was also where she met her future husband, Thaddeus Shakoor, a fellow Detroiter.

Imam Salim Mumin

Mu’allim of M.A.L.I. is the Progressive Chief of the Bissa People of Ghana and neighboring countries, as well as the Founder of the Muslim American Logic Institute (M.A.L.I.). He teaches M.A.L.I. online Qur’anic Arabic Studies and offers weekly M.A.L.I. Qur’anic Analysis presentations. In addition, he writes a weekly column on Arabic grammar for the Muslim Journal newspaper.
